FUNAM (Mining–Tourism New Dawn Foundation) is a social initiative dedicated to supporting children and families from mining communities in Potosí and Uyuni, Bolivia.

FUNAM was created from lived experience within Bolivia’s mining communities. We work to provide children with tools for a better tomorrow.

FUNAM was created by Julio César Morales Zambrana, a former miner and tour guide who experienced the reality of Cerro Rico firsthand. Guided by decades of commitment, his goal is to transform tourism into a tool for education, dignity, and real opportunities.
